Installation, Repair & Replacement

Bathtub Plumbing

If you are planning on replacing your existing bathtub with a larger model, there are several things that should go into consideration before making any decisions about what type of replacement product will work best for you.

First off, consider how much space you have available in your bathroom. If you don’t have enough room for a large-sized bathtub, then you might want to look at smaller models instead. This way, you can still enjoy all the benefits of having a bathtub without sacrificing too much space.

Next up, think about whether or not you would like to install a shower as well. Showers come in many different sizes and styles, but they also require a lot of plumbing work to make them function properly.

Finally, take note of the materials used to construct the bathtub. Some people prefer ceramic because it’s easy to clean and maintain.

Types Of Bathtubs

Whirlpool and Air Tubs

The Whirlpool tub is a great addition to any bathroom. It provides the ultimate in relaxation, while also providing an excellent bathing experience for your family or guests. The whirlpool tub has been around since the early 1900s but it was not until recently that they became more popular than ever before. They are now available at most home improvement stores as well as online retailers such as Amazon.com. There are many different types of whirlpool baths on the market today including traditional whirlpool tubs, air jets, waterfalls, heated seats and even jetted massage chairs. Some people prefer one type over another depending upon their needs and preferences. If you do decide to purchase a whirlpool tub make sure that you choose one which will fit comfortably within your existing space. You don’t want to end up having to relocate everything out just because you did not plan ahead! Another thing to keep in mind when choosing a whirlpool tub is whether or not you would like to install it yourself or hire someone else to do it for you.

Regular Bathtubs

The regular bathtub is probably what comes to mind first when thinking about installing a new bathtub. This kind of bathtub can be found in almost every household across America. These kinds of tubs have become very common due to its affordability and ease of use. However, there are some things that need to be considered if you are planning on purchasing this particular style of bathtub. For example, these tubs tend to be smaller compared to other styles so you might find that you do not get the full body experience a soaking tub offers, for example.

Soaking Tubs

A Soaking Tub is similar to a regular bathtub except that it is much larger. In fact, it is usually twice as large as a standard size bathtub. An advantage with this type of tub is that it allows you to soak all parts of your body without being restricted by the sides of the tub itself. A disadvantage however is that it does require quite a bit of room. Therefore, if you live in a small apartment then this may not be the best option for you. Also, if you have children who love playing in the tub then you have to be careful as the soaking tub can be deeper than regular ones.

WALK-IN TUBS

A walk in bathtub is a floor level tub that can be entered through a door as opposed to jumping over the sides of a regular bathtub. Walk-in bathtubs are very beneficial for seniors and persons that are physically challenged.

There is no doubt that a walk in bathtub adds value to your house. Not only does it provide comfort and convenience for those living in the area, but it also makes life easier for others visiting your residence. When deciding where to place your walk in bathtub, consider how easy it will be for visitors to enter and exit the tub. Will it be difficult for them to maneuver into position? How big should the opening be? What materials should the walls be made of? All of these questions must be answered prior to making a final decision regarding the location of your walk in bathtub. Once you know exactly what you want, you can start looking for the right product.
